RETURN TO SPOON RIVER is Creative Arts Lab’s new musical adaptation of Edgar Lee Masters’ classic, Spoon River Anthology. Amidst a beautiful tapestry of song, vivid characters and color, two strangers, Julia and Ham, each return home to Spoon River to say one last goodbye to their pasts. They meet and journey together through their hometown cemetery where they – and the audience – encounter the town’s Departed who speak and sing of their lives, their loves, their loved ones and their home, as they assist the Living in their search for the Truth in their lives and in their pasts.
